This event will be held in the Richmond Room on the second floor of the Taylor Avenue Building (600 S. Taylor). No RSVP needed; open to all.
Lecture Description:
This talk will highlight unique health challenges in cancer and aging and how physical activity may improve cognitive, physical, and psychosocial function during cancer survivorship. Dr. Salerno will discuss findings from physical activity interventions and the modifiable health indicators that may be amenable to such interventions in a large cohort of diverse cancer populations. This talk will span behavioral science, kinesiology, and epidemiology to highlight the need for scalable, community-based physical activity programs that can be implemented into the standard of care after cancer.
