“Community Insights about the Cancer Continuum: Challenges and Opportunities”

Dr. Fitzpatrick is a board-certified infectious diseases physician, CDC-trained medical epidemiologist, previously DC Medicaid medical director and CDC global health diplomat, health activist with a Master in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School, and has worked across the health sector for over 20 years. As the December Epidemiology and Clinical Outcomes Research Seminar Series speaker, Dr. Fitzpatrick will discuss the qualitative research she and her team have conducted to better understand gaps in cancer awareness, prevention and care in underserved populations in Washington, DC.
