 ct: My lab studies the biophysical mechanisms of transcriptional regulation
  and alternative mRNA splicing. To do this we use massively parallel report
 er assays and machine learning/AI methods to measure and mechanistically mo
 del the quantitative effects that mutations in regulatory sequences have on
  gene expression. I will provide an overview this research program\, focusi
 ng in particular on the tightly knit combination of experimental\, computat
 ional\, and mathematical work it involves.</p>
