"Living Well and Optimizing Care after Bre ast Cancer: Supporting Women with Early-Stage and Metastatic Breast Cancer with Diet and Physical Activity"
Evidence associates physical inactiv ity and excess body weight with poor outcomes in women with early-stage bre ast cancer\, and some studies support weight loss interven-tions following treatment\, however limited evidence is available on the broader benefits o f such interventions. Moreover\, women diagnosed with stage IV or metastati c breast cancer are mostly excluded from these studies\, so no recommendati ons exist regarding physical activity\, diet\, or weight management. This p resentation will provide an over-view of Dr. Reeves’ research on diet and p hysical activity in women with early-stage and women with metastatic breast cancer.
